Board Readiness Central (“we”) publishes a small library of documents and a free diagnostic aimed at professionals stepping into board and advisory roles. This page explains, in plain language, the personal data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Email & name when you subscribe to updates, take the free diagnostic, or purchase a document.
- Order details when you buy — the documents you bought, amount, currency, and a Stripe reference. Payment card data is handled by Stripe; we never see it.
- Diagnostic answers if you take the assessment — used to score your result and, at a perfect score, issue a verifiable certificate.
- Basic technical logs (IP, browser) for security and abuse prevention.
Why we use it
- To deliver what you asked for: downloads, receipts, certificates.
- To send occasional updates about new documents and resources — only if you subscribed. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
- To improve the library based on aggregated, non-identifying signals.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), our hosting and database provider (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), and our email delivery provider. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for accounting purposes for as long as required by law (typically 7 years). Diagnostic results are kept so certificates remain verifiable.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To do so, send us a note via our feedback page. You can unsubscribe from updates via the link in any email.
International
Board Readiness Central is a global service. Data may be processed in the European Union and other regions where our providers operate, under appropriate safeguards.
